I'm going to try British publishers/agents too!Katie Sweetinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16712942831456914494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5066850927208074240.post-57919258850687080182012-10-17T16:22:53.925-04:002012-10-17T16:22:53.925-04:00O Jerusalem, Gone with the Wind, Freedom at Midnig...O Jerusalem, Gone with the Wind, Freedom at Midnight, A Suitable Boy - These are a few of my favorite ( things) historical novels! I do think I'll look at giving more space, earlier on, to one of the characters who plays a big role in the ending. Thanks for the advice on the article. I will check it out.Katie Sweetinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16712942831456914494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5066850927208074240.post-85283048726587759182012-10-12T10:30:11.741-04:002012-10-12T10:30:11.741-04:00Hi Katie- I'd say, yes, she seems predisposed ...Hi Katie- I'd say, yes, she seems predisposed not to like historical fiction. Are you targeting agents who specifically say they represent the genre? I'd also recommend reading the Hilary Mantel profile in the latest issue of the New Yorker- she discusses the historical fiction debate (controversy?) and its many aspects in depth. Fascinating stuff. Sarahhttp://www.poetinmyheart.tumblr.comnoreply@blogger.com
